Lunasa Photography is the physical result of my love for nature. Each image I capture contains a little part of me but mostly concentrates on the beauty of the flora and fauna that envelops us.

Our daily lives are abound with worries and stressors which result in little time for the appreciation of the wonders of our environs. Sometimes we should allow ourselves time to return to a simpler existence which will, in turn, recharge our internal batteries.

The word "Lúnasa" in Irish (Gaeilge) has a few meanings. It is Irish for the month of August, a month with much meaning for me. It also comes from Lunasagh, a festival to celebrate the first fruits of the harvest and Lugh Lámhfhada, Lugh of the Long Arm.

I chose this name because the photographs are my harvest of all that surrounds me.
